Weird hot and cold weather. Check. Watery red eyes. Check. Constant runny nose. Check. Random sneezing attacks at inopportune moments (like on De Waal Drive). Check. People, I am pleased to announce my allergy radar is spot on. It would seem summer is coming. Thank goodness!
Well the stars were aligned because this week the South African fashion label Margot Molyneux launched their SS17 collection entitled Noa. How wonderful that it coincided with payday! The collection is everything I love about the brand and summer fashion.
The designer Margot Molyneux founded the brand in 2011 in Cape Town. The brand focuses on comfortable and versatile clothing. Their style is simple, classic with very subtle details and striking elements. This year’s SS17 collection is no different.
The colour palette consists of salmon, white, fern green, and orange. The items are so simple but always with hints of detail, which I have come to love about the brand. Noa is the Hebrew word for ‘movement’, which perfectly sums up the light, easy and wearable nature of the collection.
I definitely have my eye on the salmon culottes, the petal shirt (because you can NEVER have enough white shirts), the bell shirt (that sleeve detail) and the orange jumpsuit. Ok, it’s safe to say I pretty much have my eye on most of the collection! Enough babble, time to put my money where my mouth is!
